Monaco

Although it may not be the most popular tourist hot spot along the French Riviera, Monaco the land of wealth and home of the Grand Prix is not to be overlooked. With the deep blue water in front of the mountainous background, the views of this tiny country will take your breath away. Walking the streets of Monaco you’ll notice the people are fabulous, the restaurants have Michelin stars stars and every store is luxury.

  • Monte Carlo Bay Resort
    • We stayed at this gorgeous hotel on the water in Monte Carlo. While they have several pools and restaurants on site, it’s about a twenty-minute walk to the city center where you will find the Monte Carlo Casino and Monaco port.
  • The Monaco Port
    • Take a walk to the Monaco port to checkout the massive yachts pulling in as they hop from port to port.
  • Monte Carlo Casino
    • This luxury casino is in the heart of the city. When it opens at 2pm you will see people streaming in to test their luck. One thing to note, after 7pm the casino has an elegant dress code so come prepared to dress to empress.
  • Larvotto Beaches
    • Relax along this public beach in Monte Carlo where you can jump in the ocean or grab a bite at one of the many restaurants lining the beach.
  • Fairmont Hotel Nikki Beach Pool Party
    • The pool on the top floor of the Fairmont hotel not only has vibes of a Vegas day party, but also has amazing views of the coast. We stopped in for a drink before dinner and were so glad we did! You may even catch a rosé tasting from the nearby Minuty vineyard like we did.
  • Travel
    • We took an Uber from Nice to Monaco, but quickly learned that wouldn’t be an option back since Uber is banned in Monaco. I highly recommend taking the bus from town to town if traveling along the French Riviera. Not only does it only cost 4 euros, the sites along the 40-minute journey are amazing!
